Why does the picture on my LCD monitor sometimes shake?

Sometimes, the image on my LCD monitor shakes and it has done this ever since I bought the monitor almost three years ago. If I press the “Auto” button on the monitor, it resets and the shaking goes away. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to stop it from happening? Thanks!

Is your cellphone nearby? Mine did this too and I could never figure it out and it annoyed me since it was new. I realized that my cellphone was causing it. Before someone calls or sometimes just when it is just sitting there, like some sort of configuration must be going on, it causes my monitor to shake.

it could be unproperly shielded speakers. i am assuming u have speakers by your computer, as most people do. this isn’t very likely though. most speakers now are properly shielded, and that most often affects CRTs(but sometimes LCDs). anything with a magnet in it (like speakers) could be the cause

Don’t put any magnetic object under the lcd. Don’t get your speakers too close to. Leave about 7 inches between the lcd to other objects.

well, the entire image shook on mine because my cell phone was next to it, so if u have a phone next to it, i suggest you move the phone.

those are all good answers, one more, if you have a wireless router, and people are connected to it, it can mess it up if the router is too colse, been there and done that
