Which has the best picture, LCD or Plasma?

I’m getting ready to buy a high quality flat TV. When watching BluRay, for instance, which set delivers the sharpest picture, LCD or Plasma? I’m thinking of Sony, Panasonic, or other name brands.

    i would say lcd but plasma have better black colours. have alook at this website

    Well, 63% of the population will tell you that plasmas are better.
    And they are right.

    You will of course get a load of answers here saying that plasmas need their oil changing, or they heat your room, or they burn electricity, or they need their gas replacing, or whatever other gibberish they can invent.
    You can safely ignore all those answers, as they are from people who don’t know what they are talking about.

    Plasma have great picture for less light room or you room that you can control light if not i recommend LCD TV.For LCD TV the brand that I suggest are Samsung or Sony they have great quality picture and Panasonic for Plasma.1080p would be great for watching BluRay.
