Sony 32 LCD picture going dark?

Sony TV LCD, picture has got darker, audio still there. Could this be the backlight ballast? One year warrant expired 3 weeks ago, think Sony will pick-up tabs for repair?

    I would first check the settings of your TV and make sure that nothing got accidentally screwed up sometime. Then if that doesn’t fix it try contacting Sony and see if you can’t work something out with them. The should take it back. If not, that’s just bulls**t.

    you might be losing your inverter/backlight…good luck with sony, some of the inverters are part of the panel,costly repair
