my magnavox lcd tv’s pc input picture is pushed to the left, is there something i have to set to fix this?

i have a lcd tv that has a pc input when i hook it up to my laptop with the VGA cord the picture sometimes shows normally like a normal monitor but sometimes the picture is pushed to the left, is there something i have to set with the tv’s pc input, or does it have to do witht he VGA or the computer itself? the computer is brand new, the vga is brand new, and the lcd tv is in like new condition taken care of and is no more than 2 years old.

I’ve seen the pc input shift the picture to the left sometimes…even though your TV displays the picture normally, it sometimes gets confused by the horizontal sync pulses…and that’s what causes the picture to get shifted to the left side.

You may want to look up on the magnavox consumer website for any Software/Firmware updates for your symptom. You’ll need to know your model number to search for updates.

They normally supply you with the instructions to do it yourself.
DO NOT apply any updates for OTHER SYMPTOMS or OTHER MODELS — Only YOUR MODEL !

That way you won’t need to call a TV Tech out to replace the microprocessor board….
