You can then hook-up an antenna to it and receive over the air DTV, including HDTV. How good an antenna you'll need depends on where you are relative to the transmitters. BTW, there is no such thing as an HD antenna-an antenna is an antenna-the HD antenna thing is marketing nonsense. You need a TV with a built-in ATSC receiver.
