BUT.....Scart is Low Definition Composite/S-Video built into ONE wire....that means Scart is S-Video. In the USA :: HDMI is the best.....followed by COMPONENT....followed by S-Video, then Composite Video inputs.... I save the HDMI for Satellite/Cable/FIOS-TV I use COMPONENT for games and DVD units...... Well I haven’t heard of S-Cart……must be European.

Component cables are better than S-video - component cables can be bought specifically for the PS2 with an adapter, and they compose of the red/blue/green cables. They provide the best picture quality. Unfortunately, however, there are not as many HD games for the PS2 as there are for the Xbox.
