I need a new scart anyway, but have heard S-video connections give you a better picture but dont know if one of these is possible through a ps2? I brought this TV in the hope of in a few months getting an xbox 360 to play HD games. I just fancy making the most of my ps2 now. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

S-video is much better than composite (the red/white/yellow cables). Component cables are better than S-video – component cables can be bought specifically for the PS2 with an adapter, and they compose of the red/blue/green cables. They provide the best picture quality.
Unfortunately, however, there are not as many HD games for the PS2 as there are for the Xbox. At best, you’ll get games in 480p but that’s basically it – it is very rare for PS2 games to be in 720p or 1080i.

Well I haven’t heard of S-Cart……must be European.
BUT…..Scart is Low Definition Composite/S-Video built into ONE wire….that means Scart is S-Video.
In the USA ::
HDMI is the best…..followed by COMPONENT….followed by S-Video, then Composite Video inputs….
I save the HDMI for Satellite/Cable/FIOS-TV
I use COMPONENT for games and DVD units……
