How do you do the Cracked LCD Screen picture prank on Vista Premium?

I am trying to do the cracked lcd prank on my friend but he has windows vista and whatever picture i get and i put it on full screen it has the black lines on the side as it is widescreen.
How do i do it on there then?

You need to change the picture resolution. Because his computer is using a widescreen format, you need to find his screen resolution and change the picture size to match.
