Have a 47″ LCD TV. On some channels the picture and sound is inconstitent. On 26″ LCD never happens. ?

I have comcast cable. This only happens in HD Mode. The picture breaks up into pixels and then starts good for a second and then pixels and inconstitent picture. Comcast says my signal is strong. I also have a 26″ LCD TV and this never happens in HD mode. Why does this occur and what is the best fix.

Do you have different types of cable boxes? Are you using HDMI for the 47″ tv, because HDMI can break up. If so, try component (red/green/blue) cables instead and see if it fixes the problem.

Comcast will always tell you it’s not their signal. But if it continues, it is most likely their box or signal to that tv is too weak. I had a problem like that and they had to run a new cable thru my attic for that tv and it was fixed.

So if the component’s don’t fix the problem, just insist they send a tech to check the signal strength at your cable box.
