I just got a new Canon Rebel EOS XS and I have only been able to take pictures using the little viewer window. I want to be able to use the LCD screen to view the images before I snap the picture. I have reviewed the manual and I was not able to locate this. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

Other digital cameras use the lcd screen to “see” their objects. The nikon D100 seems to be able to only use the lcd screen to adjust settings. Is the camera capable of seeing the objects through the lcd screen?

Ditital camera Cannon PowerShot S230 will not show anything on the LCD monitor when I turn it on. What is the problem?
I can not take pictures because when I turn on the camera I can not see anything in the LCD monitor. It seem like there is nothing going through the lense and showing up in the LCD monitor. What could be the problem that the lcd is blank?

quest asked:
When I see pictures taken on Canon Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D), the pictures are less bright than what is displayed on the LCD screen of the camera? Why is this. I want to be able to check the pictures and either reshoot or move on. This is a bit misleading. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
