Can i view the picture im taking on LCD with my nikon D3000?

    No, the D3000 doesn’t have Live View. You will have to look through the view finder.
    I have the D3000 also.

    That function is called live view, but the Nikon D3000 doesn’t have it. You’ll only be able to look through the viewfinder (the little eye glass) to compose pictures.

    No and a good thing too.

    If you attempted to hold your D3000 at arm’s length, you would introduce a lot of camera movement and that would cause blur. It weighs almost 2 pounds with its lens attached and except for those who shoot through telescopes or microscopes … or with the camera on a tripod when shooting products.

    This is NOT a P&S camera. It is a fully adjustable camera and you will need learn to use it as you would any other SLR or DSLR camera. Look through the viewfinder and use the cameras light meter to choose the proper exposure and compose your shot.
