I have a Ps3 and a samsung 32inch LCD HD TV why is my picture better with component rather than HDMI?

what is the best way to hook up a standard DISH reciever to an 32″ LCD to have the best picture possible.

Is there a big difference in picture in an LCD TV compared to an LED TV?

26″ SHARP LCD TV no picture.help?
