i have already tried using the fn button but this makes no difference.

The screen becomes dark and black and adapts to any color for the entire left half of screen. Seems as though LCD is giving out or something. Please advise… Television only 1 year young.

My dad just bought a LG LCD Tv, but he wants to know why the picture is so staticy-like. Is it because he needs a HD cable or is it because we have basic cable?

The model number is 42LG70. :]

I currently have standard definition basic cable from Shaw. If I connect the cable to the blu ray player, then from the blu ray to my LCD tv, will the picture quality be better?

I just got a new Insignia 37″ 1080p TV from Best Buy.

Came home and hooked it up to my Dish Network reciever.

Picture is kinda icky.. any tips for the picture settings? What should I increase and decrease? Thanks

I know I could order HDTV, but don’t want to at this point. It almost seems a bit blurry at it’s resolution at 720.

Suggestions would be great. Also, what does AVC sound mode mean?

I want to show a picture from my laptop to a tv, but I don’t want to use an LCD projector. Is there another way to do this?

I bought a norcent 27″ LCD TV and used it for a few months with no problems. Im not a home theater afficionado so it did the trick for me. One day I was watching TV and the screen went totally black. I still have audio so its not a connection issue, I have tried all video inputs on the tv and they are all black, plus the tv usually went to a blue screen with no input, now its just black. Any ideas? Is this something that can be fixed?? How much for repairs?

I even hooked up the DVD player and it still looked funky. Tough to describe, but the characters are very clear and the set looks extremely fake. Any thoughts?
I’ve played with the settings I could find, but shows continue to look fake. When watching “Sound of Music” the people looked great – the background looked like a set. It was as if I were watching a play.
