I am looking for a test screen type of disc where you get the values for optimum contrast, colour etc. I live in England
Until Sunday when Channel 10 commenced its HD broadcast, this TV worked brilliantly on all channels except 31 (understandable due to our location on the Mornington Peninsula. The set is 4 months old and we are told by an antenna expert and by Samsung that our antenna is perfectly fine signal strength wise. Great picture on all channels. Since Sunday the picture on Channel 10 has been breaking up -pixellating – every 5 seconds or so. Sound also drops out. The same happens on Channel 2 and SBS. Seven & Nine not affected – picture and sound as before. Anyone got any suggestions of has anyone had the same experience. Grateful for any help.

Hi,
i’ve just bought an 26″ HD LCD TV & connected it to my PC via VGA [from the VGA port on my TV to the VGA port on my PC's graphics card].
i have set the resolution on windows to 1360×768 – however i am not recieving a good picture quality [eg, icons & text looks jagged/sketchy].
Hardware info:
PC Graphics Card: ‘NVIDEA GeForce FX5500 128mb’
OS: Windows XP Pro
TV Resolution: 1360×768
if any1 knows the solution to this problem – please let me know – i’d really apreciate it : )
if its my gfx card, plz give me info on which one would be the best to purchase.
&
is it a good idea to upgrade to Windows XP Media Center Edition?
Thanks V.Much : )
i have the frequency set to 60hz [its the only option i can choose] : (
hi, my lcd tv isn’t fitting the program on any channel whether hd or not to the actual programming screen size. it’s cutting out the top part and bottom part of the picture a little bit. i use the P. Size option on my remote to go to the 4:3 and 16:9 and wide fit and scan fit, but none of them fix the problem. what are the other options to solve this problem? thanks so much in advance all…
Do I need to invest in HDMI cables to receive better picture than straight from the box through 3 year old dvd/vcr player with input from wall to dvd player to tv. Do I need a new DVD player as well. Or upgrade to HDTV cable box from comcast thanks
I’ve just purchased a Sharp LCD TV (Model LC42XD1E) and not happy with the Standard Definition Picture.
Can anyone give me some advice about fine tuning a TV to get nice sharp realistic images ?
Thanks
