I’ve just bought a new LCD monitor and put it alongside my existing LCD monitor. The picture on them both looks good, but somehow I prefer the colours on my older monitor. The display is slightly darker, the colours seem richer. It doesn’t have many set up options, this is just what it looked like when I first got it.
The new monitor has lots of settings though – it’s got some preset modes and lots of options to change. I could be here all day messing around with the two monitors to get them to look the same!
So how do I even know that the colour and brightness are correct?
Are there any websites out there with, say, colour scales on them that I can adjust my monitor to? I’m sure I’ve used something similar before…
I just recently purchased a new Samsung LCD 32 TV LA32B350F1. I was so enticed to buy this LCD TV when I first saw it at Abensons. They showed me how clear and crisp the picture was when they demo-ed it to me. They said my TV viewing experience will be much better than watching on a standard TV. I have Cable at home and also using a Cable box (Digibox) for clearer picture signal. I connected the box to my TV and was disappointed when I see the results. I saw all channels and it displayed pictures that were so bland, not sharp and it’s like I’m watching on a 2nd hand 29′ Standard TV. Well, it might be even worse than that! I am really so disappointed that I’m not getting the same clear and crisp pictures I saw at the store. I even tried watching a DVD and it was the same. Please, help me with this! I want to get the best performance for my Samsung LCD!
Thanks for finding time in replying to my post. I live in the Philippines and I believe that the local channels here are not yet transmitting digital signal. And when I watch DVD, I also use just a regular RCA jack to connect my player to the LCD TV. So, is there any workaround for me available while waiting for the channels to switch to digital? The picture is really bad and I’m not really impressed right now. Also, what kind of RCA jack do I use to improve my DVD experience?
Okay my computer did this before and eventually the lcd went black and wouldn’t work at all. Unfortunately it’s happening again.
What happens is that I will be in the middle of doing anything, and my computer will kind of crash into this. (please view picture)

Well I still have a warrenty for this labtop and I was wondering if this was a good enough excuse to return it and get a new one. Cause I didnt do anything to the labtop to make it do this and ever since I got it, it has been a piece of crap and doing this stuff.
And is anyone else familiar with this?
Any thoughts/opinions/suggestions appreciated
I am not looking for surround sound, but something to amplify the sound from the tv. What do I need? Will I need a reciever along with the speakers or can I speakers be hooked up directly to tv?
I am using the PS3 blu-ray player. I hope I don’t need a tv with 1080 p resolution.
in the normal mode it don’t fill the whole screen . I can zoom to get a full screen but the picture isn’t as sharp. Its a 1080p ,42″. I have Dish-tv and using a regular coax cable . Anything I can do to get full screen in normal mode ?
I’ve been doing me Research on all 3 brands and they all have their defects. I’m looking for a 40 inch or 46 inch LCD 1080p.
I am only concerned in picture quality, I don’t care about burn-in for plasma, life time, or any other factors cause I don’t care about them.
I will be using it for watching standard definition TV, HD blue-ray movies and most importantly, playing video games, I have all consoles (xbox360 – PS3 and wii )
so which is better picture quality wise and why ?
