I have a Goodmans 19″ LCD TV, model number: LD1945WD which I have had for about two years now.
It has been working fine up until today when I turned it on. When I did it started making quiet high pitch squeaking sounds before presenting me with picture but no sound on television and games on games consoles.
Whats the problem? And as the warrenty has run out would it be expensive to get it repaired at a tv repair place in the UK?

I BOUGHT A 52′ LCD TV. WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO HAVE THE BEST QUALITY PICTURE? ALL I HAVE NOW IS BASIC CABLE GOING RIGHT INTO THE TV. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I CAN ADD TO MAKE THE QUALITY BETTER?
Hi everyone,
I have recently re-formatted my PC which uses the VGA slot in the back of my LCD Tv to save space in my room. However after the re-formatting the computer works perfectly fine but the Tv itself has a horribly distorted picture. You can see a show playing but it has strobing like effect over the top and if you call up a menu it seems to spill colours across the screen. The PC is fine and was tested on a second external monitor and is working however the Tv even with the VGA lead removed now has a distorted picture? Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance,
- Jamie.
I have the lc-52e77un and I can’t seem to fix the picture settings well enough for the image to look crisp and clean.
Just want to know which manufacturer makes the best HDTV’s and whether LCD or plasma is better.
Hey everyone… i recently got a 42 inch LCD 1080p hdtv… but the picture quality is not really good. i connected it with rca cables and have regular Direct tv satellite. Also when watching a dvd movie, the picture quality is not that clear and crisp. What can i do to get the best use of my new tv?
Thanks.
We just purchased a Sanyo flat screen LCD TV and are having problems with the colors…every few minutes the colors will go from red to pink….
The Tv is hooked directly from DirecTV box…
the manuel is of no help…..
Other digital cameras use the lcd screen to “see” their objects. The nikon D100 seems to be able to only use the lcd screen to adjust settings. Is the camera capable of seeing the objects through the lcd screen?
The leads seem to be quite expensive so I wasn’t sure if it was going to make my DVD’s much difference in picture quality or not.
